Toronto based Elise Ellen Grant Heikkila is known for her warm and etherial sound, clear tone, and versatility among musical genres. She regularly performs sound baths while improvising vocal lines and harmonies with her singing bowls around the city. Recently she worked with Univox Choir to facilitate a full choral improvisational piece using her singing bowls, shruti box, chimes, and ocean drum to create a live rainstorm soundscape (video coming soon).

 

Elise completed a Master's of Music in Voice Performance and Bachelor of Education at The University of Ottawa. Following her studies at the university, she completed a diploma in Audio Recording at The Audio Recording Academy (TARA) and continues to record and share music and calming nature sounds on YouTube, Instagram (@elise_ellen) and TikTok (@elise.ellen).

Her post secondary studies have taken her to perform in a wide variety of venues including opera and musical theatre stages, as well as recording studios, live music venues, and yoga studios around Toronto.
